The University of The Gambia has begun a two-day retreat for Senior Management, Directors, Heads of Departments (HoD’s) and Senior Academics to foster harmonious working relationships and share ideas to improve the quality of services rendered to the various stakeholders of the university.
The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pierre Gomez in his opening remarks, welcomed the seasoned academics to the retreat.
“Even though we might have differences in opinion, which is normal in academia, we are cognizant of the common denominator: which is UTG and The Gambia,” he remarked.
The retreat, which is being held on the theme “University of The Gambia in Perspective: The Future Plan”, will include presentations by highly experienced resource persons from the university and the National Accrediation and Quality Authority (NAQAA).
“I look forward to a very thought provoking and participatory two-day engagement,” the Ag. Vice Chancellor said. “Similarly look forward to a very forward-looking communique that will set out a clear path to a successful 2021/2022 academic session” he concluded.
