The Vice Chancellor of The University of The Gambia, Prof. Faqir Muhammad Anjum accompanied by his Personal Assistant, Mr Alpha M.K Lowe, on Saturday 5th January, 2019, presided over the Opening Ceremony of The University of The Gambia Students’ Week 2019.
Speaking at the ceremony, the VC reiterated his quest to elevating the UTG to a desired pedestal and his unwavering commitment towards promoting students’ welfare.
He challenged the students to better prepare themselves for the ‘baton’ from the old and endeavour to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation to the young.
The VC finally challenged the students to avoid being engrossed into merriment and to make good use of the seminars and the community engagements.
