The University of The Gambia is pleased to invite applications for admission into the following two-year graduate programs:    Master of Public Health (MPH) in ‘Health Promotion and Development’ and Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in ‘Environmental and Occupational Health’.
These programs prepare graduate students for professional and academic careers in Public Health and Environmental and Occupational Health. Graduates will qualify for a wide variety of jobs in the public health discipline, including faculty positions in institutions of higher learning. They will also be able to function as middle to first level senior managers in departments of health, sanitation, hygiene and safety in commercial and industrial enterprises; and in the basic administration and development of public and environmental health services in government, local and international organizations, agencies and NGOs. The MPH and MSPH are professional degrees, but the MSPH is more technical and is intended for those with a background in either the Environmental Sciences or in the Environmental Health Sciences.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold at least an undergraduate degree (i.e. BA or BSc) from a recognized institution of learning with a minimum CGPA or CQPA of 2.60 based on a 4.30 point scale.
Two (2) letters of recommendation – one from a professor/lecturer and another from an employer, if employed.
Undergraduate preparations should also include previous coursework in mathematics, biological, chemical and the physical sciences.
Applicants whose undergraduate degrees were not done in the English Language should provide evidence of English proficiency.

To have access to the page, candidates need to supply a pin code indicating payment of Application Form and all other necessary Fees. This pin code can be obtained from the Accounts Office, Kanifing Campus, upon tendering of receipts of payment from the Bank. The Deadline for submission of applications is August 5th, 2020. Please note that all receipts obtained from the University are to be uploaded on the applications for timely processing.
