The Vice Chancellor of the University of The Gambia, Professor Faqir Muhammad Anjum, received a delegation from Osun State University (UNIOSUN) of Nigeria.
Prof. Anjum in his welcoming remarks, thanked the high level delegation led by the UNIOSUN Vice Chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola.
“We are more than happy to have you at the UTG once again. We hope that this visit will deepen the already strong ties between our two institutions”. He added that the areas of cooperation entailed in the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) include research, student and staff exchange amongst others.
Prof. Popoola said he feels at home in The Gambia as he has visited the UTG in December of 2016. He added that UNIOSUN is a young university just as UTG, hence the importance of the cooperation. “ We sent a group of students for exchange and we are looking forward to receiving students and staff from UTG”.
The Director of Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Habibatou Drammeh, delivered a presentation on the “UTG’s Management and Academic Structure”.
While in The Gambia, the delegation will visit the UTG Faraba Banta Campus,the School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences and The Gambia National Museum in Banjul.
