“The leadership of the 18th Executive Council of the UTGSU is uneasy at the unprecedented number of calls and text messages it received today from Qcell and Africell users lamenting over the consumption of their allocated megabytes.
The outpour of these concerns has prompted the Council to immediately engage the Task Force for a quick remedy. Without further ado, Q-cell and Africell were reached for a swift solution.
Meanwhile, we wish to assure all affected students that the matter will be remedied in a jiffy, as the TASK FORCE continues to iron out this issue with the concerned GSM Operators. Latest this Wednesday, all affected students will have their numbers configured, and shall receive a refund of the megabytes that were used.
In a similar but separate matter, it has come to our notice that certain students have not received their allocations (megabytes) for some good reason. The reason being this category of Students have registered on the UTG Online Lecture Platform late. So, their registrations had found the Task Force already submitted the list of subscribers for allocation. This was the basis for them not receiving their megabytes.
However, the leadership of the UTGSU has already taken action for such students at the UTG Management level. It has now been agreed that a List of late subscribers will be compiled and sent to concerned GSM Operators for their legitimate allocations. Rest assured that your allocations will be sent to you not later than Wednesday 22nd April, 2020.
