The University of the Gambia is pleased to invite applications for admission into the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management Programme, commencing 2020/2021 Academic year
The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the supervisory, decision-making and leadership aspects of the hospitality and tourism industry. In addition it is also designed to develop independent research and study skills required when working at supervisory or middle managerial level in the industry. It is therefore an excellent preparation for either entry to the workplace or as a springboard into access to the University.
Duration: 1 year
A minimum of 3 credits (including English and a pass in Mathematics), OR a certificate in tourism or hotel management OR at least five years’ work experience in the field of study. Upon completion of the diploma, students have the option of pursuing further studies of a BSC at the University of the Gambia, but MUST meet the normal University entry requirement of 5 credits including English and Mathematics OR 3 credits including English or Mathematics for mature students, and students may have an advance standing for any of the corresponding subjects but at a minimum grade B score.

To have access to the page, candidates need to supply a pin code indicating payment of the Application form, Result Verification, and all other necessary fees. This pin code can be obtained from the Bank and the Accounts Office respectively. The Deadline for submission of applications is 31st March 2022. Please note that all receipts obtained from the University are to be uploaded on the applications for timely processing.
Course Fee: D20, 000.00 (excluding a library and student union fee of D1200)
NB: Students are to expect a week local destination field trip at a cost ranging from D3000 to D5000 depending on operational periods.
