Call for Application for Admission- MSc in Community Health Nursing

The School of Graduate Studies and Research, University of The Gambia, is pleased to invite applications for admission into the 2-year Master of Science Degree Program in Nursing with concentration in Community Health Nursing.

Entry Requirements:

To be admitted to the MSc Program in Community Health Nursing, candidates must be in possession of:

1. BSc degree in Nursing from a recognized University

2. CGPA of 3.2. (an official undergraduate transcript from the University attended must be attached.) If the undergraduate CGPA is below 3.2, the student may be required to take an entrance exam.

 3- Three letters of recommendations, one of which must be from the head of institution/department attended

4. At least three (3) years’ work experience as a Registered Nurse

 Mature students without the academic qualifications may be considered on an individual basis. However, an entrance exam may be required if the candidate does not have an undergraduate Nursing Degree.

Successful applicants may be required to attend an interview during which they would be expected to bring along original copies of all materials submitted with the application form.  These should include original copies of Certificates, Statements of Results, Transcripts and other documents that have been submitted as part of the application. Please note that this is a full time 2 year programme.

The application fee is D500.00 and candidates are required to apply online through www.utg.gm and click on the apply link to fill the form and submit. The Deadline for submission of applications is October 4th 2023. Please note that all receipts obtained from the University are to be uploaded on the applications for timely processing.
