APPLY FOR OUR MSc IN NURSING

The School of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to invite applications for admission into its 2-year Master of Science Degree Program in Nursing with a concentration in Community Health Nursing.

Entry Requirements:
To be admitted to the MSc Program in Nursing, candidates must be in possession of:

  1. BSc degree in Nursing from a recognized University
  2. CGPA of 3.2. (an official undergraduate transcript from the University attended must be attached.) If the undergraduate CGPA is below 3.2, the student may be required to take an entrance exam.
    3- Three letters of recommendations, one of which must be from the head of institution/department attended
  3. At least three (3) years work experience as a Registered Nurse
    Mature students without academic qualifications may be considered on an individual basis. However, an entrance exam may be required if the candidate does not have an undergraduate Nursing Degree.
    Successful applicants may be required to attend an interview during which they would be expected to bring along original copies of all materials submitted with the application form. These should include original copies of Certificates, Statements of Results, Transcripts and other documents that have been submitted as part of the application. Please note that this is a full time 2 year programme.
    APPLICATION FORMS:
    Application forms are available at The University Accounts Office, Kanifing Campus at a non-refundable fee of D500.00. Payment for application forms can be made at any Trust Bank Branch. Completed application forms, together with photocopies of relevant certificates and other supporting documents should reach the Admissions Office, Kanifing Campus, not later than October 18th, 2020.
