UTG STARTS AN ADVANCED TRAINING ON USE OF EXCEL

The University of The Gambia has rolled out an advanced training on the use of the latest Microsoft excel features for its staff at the Finance department and Internal Audit unit.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Ebrima K Bojang, the University’s Chief Accountant, who is also an excel expert. The training is meant to improve the excel skills of both the Finance and Internal Audit departments with the objective of increasing efficiency and effectiveness in the daily operations in these departments and the UTG as a whole.

“I feel very much satisfied transferring my excel skills to our staff which has an immediate impact on their daily work, that is, work smarter not harder,” Mr. Bojang remarked.

This training is part of a wider strategy of the University management to build the capacity of its staff members, especially those on admin, on the use of the latest technological features to enhance service delivery.

“I have learnt the relevant skills that will undoubtedly improve effectiveness and efficiency to my performance. It will also save quite a lot of time as the speed of my daily work will be much faster due to the knowledge learnt during this training,” Ndey Jahateh, a trainee explained
