​Farewell Held for Staff Members Leaving for Studies

The Vice Chancellor and Senior Management on Friday, 16th October 2020, bade farewell to four administrative and academic staff members set to leave for post graduate studies.

“We are very happy to know that you’re going to study at one of the best universities of Science and Technology on areas that are prioritised by the University of The Gambia,” Vice Chancellor Prof. Faqir ​​Muhammad Anjum said.

Prof. Anjum reminded the quadruple that they were chosen out of a competitive list, therefore, a lot of trust has been bestowed on them. While reiterating the importance of being excellent ambassadors of UTG, he assured them of Management’s continuous support.

All the four will study at the National University of Sciences and Technology situated in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

Prof. Pierre Gomez and Prof. Momodou Jain, Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Admin and Finance) respectively,  shared words of wisdom. They disclosed that this is the first of two batches that are expected to leave for studies this year.

“Capacity building has been a top priority of this management. We expect you to go learn and come back to impact,” said Prof. Gomez.
